A New Piece of Kit

Who would have thought slicing bread could become such a huge job? We make our own very special bread for our Fabulous Bread & Butter Pudding and now also for our wonderful new Summer Pudding.

Whilst we firmly believe in doing as much as we can by hand we’re not complete Luddites, if a machine can save us a job whilst making the job safer and more precise we’re up for it!

The Perfect Slice

We’ve taken pains to make sure the slices are just the perfect thickness, just thick enough to soak up the wonderful custard in our Bread & Butter pudding and to restrain all that fabulous fruit in our Summer Pudding.

We’re sure this new piece of kit will make life safer too, when our bakers have to slice hundreds of loaves by hand they really have to concentrate… this beauty will slice a whole loaf perfectly in less than three seconds.
