Big Move - Update 2

Over the past few weeks, we have made a lot of progress in the new unit, ready for our big move later this spring. But in this article, I thought I would provide a few facts as to why we’re moving and what it will add to our company.

Unit 30 will add an extra 5500 square ft to our production space, which will in turn provide more production capacity and of course provide a pleasant and accessible workspace for our staff. The new space will have a dedicated visitor area so that our current, future and potential new customers can come and see how we do things here at the Buxton Pudding Company. Also, our new premises will provide extra parking for our staff and visitors.

The extra 5500 square ft will allow for greater stock holding. In my last update, I mentioned the addition of our walk-in fridges and freezers installed for us by Foster Fridges, this is an example of space for greater stock holding. The new space will also allow us to develop new products and help us to supply new markets- including the export markets.

By expanding into larger premises, it will allow us to exceed our accreditations and operate to the very highest standards. This is a continuation of our mission statement to strive to improve all aspects of our working environment and the finished product. The new space will allow us to be more environmentally conscious by allowing for changes in production methods that will increase efficiency.

Overall unit 30 will allow us to operate the best practice in all areas of our production.
